Now that all of us, feline and human alike, at the Cat Connection have recovered from the whirlwind success of August and September’s cat cafés, we’ve decided to get back to work and help more kitties find their forever homes. Let’s do this, DFW!

So please, join us this Saturday, October 17th, from 11 AM to 4 PM at the Cat Connection! Our featured shelter will be Paws in the City, a volunteer-run, no-kill shelter in North Texas. They’ll be bringing all kinds of adorable felines, all in need of good homes and excited to meet you.

I’ve never been to a cat café! What should I expect?

No problem! Even if you have been to a cat café, this one is a little bit different. Because the Cat Connection is a full-service cat boutique, complete with grooming and boarding facilities as well as an online store, the café is what we call a Pop-Up café, meaning that it is not a free-standing coffee shop with resident cats. Instead, we invite our good friends at Lovecup Coffee to provide the coffee and snacks, partner with local rescues to provide the adoptable felines, and turn our back room into a kitty paradise, complete with climbing towers, litter boxes, scratching posts, toys, and of course couches for the humans.

So simply come to the Cat Connection this Saturday, grab a drink and get ready to spend some quality time with some adoptable cats and fellow cat people. In the meantime, be sure to check out our café rules and brush up on your cat communication skills. We can’t wait to see you there!
