The Litter Welcome Mat helps control seemingly unmanageable litter track. The problem of litter track starts with your cat's first step out of the litter box. Eventually, litter ends up on the bottom of bare feet, stockings, or shoes and is unknowingly carried throughout the home. The tracked litter shows up in unlikely places, such as under the covers at the foot of your BED! Fortunately, controlling litter track is not impossible. Just as the problem starts with the first step out of the litter box, so does the solution.
The device: Comprised of a large capacity collection tray and an integral fitting grid, the strength of the Litter Welcome Mat is its ability to solve three problems related to litter track. First, it eliminates track from the litter box each time your cat exits. Second, the mat collects the excess track from your cat's paws, which you can reuse or dispose of easily. Third, the Litter Welcome Mat allows for the complete removal of tracked out litter material, thus ending the track cycle. The grid: Its function is two fold; cats will naturally open their paws to walk across the grid surface. Litter will then fall from between their pads and digits and off their fur through the grid's openings and be conveniently collected in the bottom of the large capacity collection tray. Once in the collection tray, excess litter it is out of the track cycle forever!
The tray: It functions as a receptacle for excess track, scatter, and any "misses" that may occur. Keeping the captured litter away from future foot traffic (both cat and owner) as well as any curious little people in the home, is central to the maintaining a hygienic litter box area. The built-in funnel allows for easy disposal or reuse of the captured litter.
