March 2004 Cat Connection Winner
Voted "Cat of the Month" by The Cat Connection Shop Cats.

Owner: Cathy Neal
Name: Simon
Breed: Siamese
Age: 2 years in this photo

About the Winner
Unfortunately, Simon is no longer with us as he passed away unexpectedly shortly after this photo was taken. He was our cat-dog! He loved to be outside and follow us around. He always came when we called him and slept with us at night. We miss him terribly.

March 2004 On-Line Winner
Voted "Cat of the Month" by Web Poll Participants.

Owner: Nancy Terrell
Name:
Petie & Tiger
Breed:
Domestic Short Hair
Age:
6 months

About the Winner
Petie & Tiger, adopted from Operation Kindness in November of 2003, are 8 months old and are sister and brother. Originally thought to be 2 brothers, Petie was named after the great Pete Sampras due to mom’s previous collegiate tennis career – and not to leave dad and his passion for golf out, Tiger was named after the great Tiger Woods. However, after a month or so at home, it became readily apparent poor Pete was not developing into a little boy like Tiger was. Our veterinarian confirmed several weeks later Pete was in fact a little girl, thus her name now of Petie.

Petie & Tiger are very sweet kittens, although they continue to not be big fans of being picked up. They purr up a storm, though, and little Petie loves to cuddle with her mom and dad. Tiger, playing his role as the tough brother, is not the same cuddler, but boy does he talk. Sometimes we think he should have been the female with as much talking as he does.

Their favorite past times are sleeping on the dining room table (mom didn’t do a very job with training) and play fighting with each other (as most siblings like to do). They also enjoy batting their play toys from one end of the house to the other as well as chewing threw anything they can get their teeth into, including printer cables, phone chargers, flat irons, speaker cables and TV cables. Despite some of their bad habits, they are loved very much and as seen in their picture, they love each other very much.
