Voted "Cat of the Month" by The Cat Connection Shop Cats.
Owner: Laurie Walker
Names: Kitty
Color/Breed: Orange Tabby, Domestic Short Hair
Age: 11 years
About the Winner
Kitty is such a smart boy. He has been in my life for 11 years now and
never stops amazing me with his intelligence. His personality is so
funny and very similar to Garfield. He's stubborn, smart and affectionate,
but only on his terms. He is also a very skilled hunter, which does
get him into trouble at times when he brings his prey home.

Cats Go Crazy for Catnip-filled LoopieLoops!
Velvety crazy tail loops and the perfet jingle
simply put, cats dig 'em!
http://www.thecatconnection.com/miva...
Even
though cats go crazy and some even seem drugged around catnip it is
not a drug. It's actually an herb that belongs to the mint family. When
the leaves are broken it releases a certain chemical that most cats
respond to.
All cats respond differently to
catnip. Some of them walk away because they couldn't care less, but
others seem to go crazy for the stuff. The cats that do go crazy are
responding to the active ingredient in catnip called Nepetalactone.
The reaction to this chemical is caused by the organ that operates a
cat's five senses (touch, smell, sight, sound and taste.)

A Practical Alternative to Traditional
Cat Furniture Welcome Planet Cat!
Cats love to scratch and Planet Dog has found
corrugated cardboard to be the victim of choice for their new feline products.
http://www.thecatconnection.com/miva...
Why
do cats love cardboard so much? We're not sure, but if your kitty prefers
an old sagging printer box to a cushy bed, why not give him a stylish
alternative you'll both love. Everyone knows that cats will play, sit,
and sleep in cardboard boxes just big enough to squeeze into. Cats like
corrugated cardboard because it is rough, like the bark of a tree. And
not only is it good for sharpening their claws, it also massages their
paws.

Cherish Your Family Pet With Paw Prints
Keepsake Photo Frames.
Fun and easy to use, Paw Prints makes a unique
pet gift for any proud owner!

Studies
show that the interaction between humans and their pets can be just
as important and beneficial as any other human relationship. As people
take care of their companion animals, the animals in turn are taking
care of their owners. Pets provide unconditional love, companionship,
connectedness and for some, a purpose. Those with furry, feathered
or finned friends in the home may actually be healthier than those without.
That's right. Fido and Fluffy are good for more than just playing ball
or batting at a piece of yarn.

Introducing Nibletz Semi-Moist Cat Treats!
Made with real liver and infused with organic
catnip, Nibletz are sure to please even the most finicky feline.
http://www.thecatconnection.com/miva...
Cats,
like people, enjoy a good treat every once in a while. Some people choose
to only give treats after some sort of good behavior like going to the
vet, scratching in the right place, or using the litterbox. Others give
their cats treats at random times to surprise and please the cat. In
general, treats are a great way to train your kitty, reward him for
good behavior, or just show him that you care!
