Owner: Jillian & Nathan Parks
Cat's Name: Mia
Breed: Domestic Short Hair
Age: 8 Months (in photo)
About the Winner
Mia was brought into the Parks home when she was only 5 days old (she
was found under a tarp with the rest of her deceased brothers and sisters,
she was the only survivor). At the time of the picture she was about six
months, she was about 8 months now.
Mia has become very infatuated with a feather toy that she enjoys "killing",
walking around the house with, and is even beginning to fetch and retrieve
it as well. Her favorite place to hang out is on Nathan's pillow. She
loves to attack and lounge on his pillow, even if he is sleeping on it.
She also enjoys playing in the bushes (not very gracefully Nathan mentions)
in the Park's outdoor catery.
She makes many trips to the food bowl more recently and will go on resuming
her many alluring positions in various and bizarre places around the house.
She also loves getting her very fluffy, and lately bulging belly rubbed.
Mia enjoys finding a happy place while her big brother (Jack the rat terrier)
likes to nibble playfully on her head and body.

Owner: Nancy Stewart
Name: Cowboy
Breed: Mainecoon
Age: 6 Years
About the Winner
Cowboy came from Palm Beach in 1997. The Stewart Family had heard about
Cowboy from a friend of the family who was looking for a Ragdoll cat and
saw him around the same time. He has typical Maine Coon qualities acting
more like a dog than a cat. His favorite place to sleep is on my Nancy’s
husband's stomach. He also loves it when company comes to spend the night.
He will very politely wake you up by gently biting you on the nose! Now
there’s a wake up call! He loves all dogs and quite fearless. Cowboy will
walk right up to a new dog friend to introduce himself. He has a large
family including 2 corgis, 1 French Bull dog, a Munchkin cat (who is also
black/white) and a Humane Society variety! Cowboy also celebrated his
birthday on November 1st. Happy Birthday Cowboy!

Owner: Kylee Jones
Name: Jake
Breed: Domestic Long Hair
Age: 5 Years
About the Winner
Jake first came to the Jones family in 1999. He was just a few weeks
old and only weighed 2.3 lbs! Now Jake weighs a whopping 20 lbs. This
big boy loves to eat. A friend of the family found him in a bush outside
of her house. She already had a cat and couldn’t take in another one.
She had asked Kylee’s mom if she would like to keep him, and mom said
yes. At first Jake was the family cat. After having him a while, he started
to sleep with Kylee at night. If you couldn’t find Jake roaming the house
they knew exactly where he would be…Kylee’s bedroom! If he wasn’t lying
on the bed, he was usually underneath it.
Kylee got married this past summer and when the new couple moved in together,
Jake was invited to come along. There is a hunter green recliner in the
family room that Jake loves to sit in. You can always find him there lounging.
If you sit in his chair, he will greet your feet and meow until you get
out of the chair or let him sit with you!
Jake loves playing with anything that has catnip inside of it. He is always
chasing around the little catnip stuffed mice. He also likes to play with
the ribbon Kyleee uses to wrap presents! Jake is a very snuggly cat. He
sleeps with Kylee and her new husband every night. When they are watching
TV or reading the newspaper, he will jump up and interrupt his family
for a little extra love. Whenever Kylee has a bad day at work, she know
that when she gets home, Jake will cheer her up.
