And The Winners Are... August 2007 Cat Connection Winner About the Winner: “We just lost one of our cats to lymphoma in January and needed someone to get us back on our feet again so we decided to get another kitten. His name him Cooper and looks just like our previous cat, and oddly enough, even acts like him. There is really only one word to describe Cooper, WILD. It seems as if all he wants to do is chase our other cats or attack something. We bought him a laser pointer and the moment we took it out of the package he loved it. He chases the dot all around the house and jumps on the walls. He really never stops. Cooper loves to be in which ever room we're in, no matter what. Cooper has grown into quite the cuddler. He loves to be next to us wherever we might be. Cooper is a great cat we love him more and more each and every day.” Congratulations Cooper! August 2007 Cat Connection Winner About the Winner: "Opal is a Highland Lynx (an exotic feline cross between a desert lynx and a jungle curl). She is also a polydactyl as you may have noticed her extra toe on each of the front paws. She has the curled ears and a stub tail. Opal is almost a year old and was born on our anniversary (October 17, 2006). She will continue to grow for another year or two. She doesn't meow very much but loves to play with rubber balls and furry mice. When playing outside she adores catching grasshoppers and bringing them to my window. She also hooks her dry food with her paw and brings it to her mouth and follows my husband around everywhere outside just like a puppy. Opal is full of energy and is certainly a treasured addition to our family! " Congratulations Opal! Enter your cat in the contest! Vote for the September Cat of the Month here!
