Special Treats for your Halloween Kitty! The spirit of Halloween is in the air. As the seasons change and the leaves start to fall...kitty wonders where his special holiday treat is hiding.
A few tips on pet safety at Halloween: Absolutely NO animal should eat candy. Chocolate can potentially kill your pet. It can cause Gastroenteritis, which can be very painful, very difficult and very expensive illness to treat, so save yourself and your pet the trouble! Make sure to throw out any and all candy wrappers after you're done with them. It's not a good idea to take any pet with you while trick-or-treating. You don't want your pet to escape from the car and accidentally get hit by a car. Keep your pet in a different area of the house when you're handing out candy to trick-or-treaters. With many people coming to the door, this could potentially frighten your pet which could lead to them escaping or even harming a guest. Don't give away any kittens and don't expect any shelters to let you adopt a black cat on or before Halloween. And finally... keep your cat inside!!! All cats (especially black or white cats) should be kept inside all day long. There are a lot of people out on this night that may intend to do harm to your beloved pet.
