And The Winners Are... November 2006 Cat Connection Winner Here is what the owner has to say about their beautiful kitty, Sasha. "It's hard to narrow down Sasha's favorite toy. She has a whole routine. She will actually sit by the toy she wants to play with the most. I'd have to say, the laser light is her favorite as soon as it becomes dark. She sits where she wants the light shown. Everything has to be her way or no way at all. She has a clear plastic quilt bag that she loves to ride around the house in. We'll ask her if she wants to go for a ride and she will get in the bag and off we go from room to room. She has so much personality for a kitten. Sasha has to be in whatever room we are in. She doesn't like being left alone. If we're eating dinner, she must eat also. If we're watching television, so is she. She has a condo in the den and there's a bird feeder for her to watch the birds and black squirrels. She will sit patiently for hours. Sasha will not drink water from her bowl. She must drink it from the sink. She sometimes uses her paw to cup the water to her mouth. Sasha comes and lowers her head for me to put her Christmas collar on her. It's so funny. She loves wearing doll clothes and runs away if she doesn't want to take them off. If we're not paying attention to her, she will jump on the leather furniture and just sit there nicely. She knows we don't want her up there but it's just her way of letting us know that she's in charge and wants to play. Sasha is extremely loveable. She nestles to my neck and loves to be kissed. You can't kiss her enough. She has woken me up every night @ 3:00am since we got her because she wants to be loved. My husband thought it was funny because she would never wake him up. Well, the tides have turned and now it's his turn to be awakened. She wants to lay on the pillow and cover her body with the quilt. She also has to feel your arm at all times or she will move until she can feel it." Congratulations Sasha!November 2006 Cat Connection Winner Here is what Carrie has to say about her precious little girl, Dot. "Dot was rescued at the age of 2 weeks old. She was found by an Arlington Animal Services Worker, Susan Waits, under the shed of a local resident. Susan knew Dot would not do well in the shelter at such a young age so she contacted me and I went and picked her up. Dot has been bottle fed and is now eating solid foods and hopefully will find a good home soon. Dot loves to come to us for loving and kisses, she is very spoiled! Dot especially loves to lay on our heater vents and soak up the warm air during this cold spell. She loves to chase and play with all of her toys. She is especially funny because she comes when you call her as she knows her name very well. She was named by her rescuer because on top of her head, there are about 10 little black hairs that look exactly like a DOT, thus giving her the name. Dot is a little love bug, and she is now about 6 weeks old, and very affectionate. I the mom, as well as the rescuer, the shelter and everyone that knows her, has found DOT to be a very special little girl, as her pictures also hangs at the Arlington Animal Services for everyone to see. Dot surely appreciates being rescued and can't wait to start her new life, with a family of her own." Congratulations Dot! |
