Here is what Jan has to say about her handsome boy, Sugar.

"Sugar is 17 years old and has lung cancer.  He is a real tropper.  He also has dry FIP and was not expected to live past 2 but with tender loving care he has lasted all these years. He is an odd-eyed white deaf persian with a very sweet personality.

Sugar passed away on June 12, 2006.  He is missed terribly.  He was the sweetest little boy of 17 1/2 years - he just couldn't beat his cancer.  He was never around anyone that smoked.

He loved to sleep on my bed - morning - noon and night.  He loved to chase the flash light in his younger years.  Boy did he love to eat.  He loved canned tuna and turkey or chicken baby food towards the end. He was deaf and really understood sign language.  He was one spoiled sweet boy who will always be missed.

Since his passing over the Bridge I have adopted two beautiful white persian girls who were found on the streets of North Richland Hills - nobody claimed them.  Their names are Autumn and Sky. Sugar would approve as I rescued him 17 years ago. He was near death many times since he had FIP but he would always bounce back. Dr. Merrill of Abrams Forest Vet Clinic said he had beaten all odds. She also said Sissy and Sugar were the best cats in her practice. I'm very proud he won."
