And The Winners Are...
October 2005 Cat of the Month Photo Contest Winners

Voted "Cat of the Month" by The Cat Connection Shop Cats.

Owner: Karen Bernard
Name: Kelso
Breed: Maine Coon
Age: 2 Years

About the Winner
Here is what Karen has to say about her handsome boy Kelso:

"Kelso (AKA "Sugarbear Kelso"). Kelso is 1 year 11 Months old. His birthday is October 9, 2003.

Kelso's favorite toy is a furry mouse on a string and he also loves his feather on a stick toy. Kelso loves to hang out in our green room (Enclosed Back porch) with his buddy Tigger (our other cat) where they play and do a lot of bird watching.

Kelso has the typical Maine-coon personality. He is not much of a lap cat, but likes to be petted and prefers to just hang out with you all the time. He loves to play hockey with his dry cat-food until Tigger comes along and eats the puck. He is wonderful, everyone should have a mainecoon cat!"

Congratulations Kelso!

Owner: Kari Kramer
Name: Grisabella
Breed: Domestic Long Hair
Age: 2 years

About the Winner:
Here is what Kari has to say about her gorgeous girl, Grisabella:

“Grisabella was named from a character in the Musical, CATS. She goes by Bella most the time though. Bella is loaded with attitude and personality. Her favorite toys are "crinkle balls". She also has a mouse that we named Marvin which she plays with when she can keep track of him. He often gets pushed under the couch and gets lost for weeks. She also loves the elastic cord that holds new shoes together. My roommates and I spend hours everyday simply playing with and watching Bella play.

We just moved into a new apartment and she enjoys making her rounds to our three roommate's rooms. She has her own special "spot" in each of their rooms. However, most the time she will sleep next to my head. She is not a big cuddler except with her mom and it always has to be on HER terms. She actually HATES to be held but is very sociable. The coolest thing that Bella does is fetch. She will fetch a rubber band when I throw it and she'll bring it back over and over again.

She is a joy to come home to at the end of the day and is always waiting at the door. She knows my car and the jingle of my keys. She will then talk to me and tell me about her day. I am honored to have her in my life to brighten my days with her company and humor.”

Congratulations Grisabella!
