Denise Hogarth-Nicely was born in 1968 in her hometown of Surrey , England . Her family moved to the US when she was 7 years old and she now lives in Richardson , TX with her husband and two beautiful daughters. She spent 14 years as a professional equistrian in the hunter / jumper field before devoting all of her time professionally to her art career.
Her favorite subjects to paint and draw are cats and horses. Out of high school, Denise won the Plano Art Association scholarship which took her to UNT. After attending college, Denise has done some commissions but mainly paints for fun.
Denise is a descendant of William Hogarth, the famous 18th century English painter, whose works hang in museums such as the British Museum and the Tate in England.
The painting is a Himalayan named Bluey.
