Meet Blue Bell – An Incredible Beauty!
Available at the Cat Connection through May 7th

Blue Bell
Breed: Siamese
Color: Chocolate Point
Sex: Female
Age: 3 years
Comments: I am current on all shots and have been spayed.

Hi everyone. My name is Blue Bell and I am a gorgeous Chocolate Point Siamese. I am looking for my forever home. You've heard the Blue Bell Slogan, haven't you? It says “We eat all we can and sell the rest.” Well I ate all I could and there's nothing left to sell. Ice Cream is a diet food, right?

I'm three years old, have been spayed and had an operation on my left ear. When Kittico found me, I had a severely injured ear and had to have a special operation where they made my ear-hole more like a human's ear...

The Cat Connection Cats of the Month
April 2005 Cat Connection Winner

Voted "Cat of the Month" by The Cat Connection Shop Cats

Jake - April Cat of the Month

Owner: Amy Lisonbee
Cat's Name: Jake
Breed: DSH
Age:
8 months

About the Winner:

We are told Jake is quite the character!  Jake was given up to the PAWS shelter in Lynwood , WA because his previous owner had too many cats to care for. He was only there for a day before Amy found him there and instantly fell in love. Amy tells us "Waiting the period they make you wait was agony!" She was ready to give Jake the life he deserved in his new forever home.

Amy has had many cats over her lifetime and considers Jake to be by far the funniest, softest and sweetest cat she has ever had the pleasure of taking into her home.  He is fond of ducking underneath the area rugs to hide...

I know it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy when I receive a special little card in the mail. It's a breath of fresh air even.

Bad Cat:
244 Not-So-Pretty Kitties and Cats Gone Bad
Bad Cat: 244 Not-So-Pretty Kitties and Cats Gone Bad
By Jim Edgar,
With or as told to R.D. Rosen,
With or as told to Harry Prichett
304 pages

It's the dark side that most owners never see. The side that wouldn't be caught dead purring. Here, captured in all their infamy, are trouble makers, delinquents, and dementos.

Thy're bad cats, with bad intentions, bad habits, and bad attitudes. So the next time your sweet little ball of fur misses the litterbox, ask yourself -- was it really an accident?

Note: This is a humor book and not to be taken seriously. The writers and photo editors of this book are all cat lovers and either former or current cat owners. There is mild language used in this book.

Get to know the Cat Connection store cats
Written by: Kristin Blair “Webmeowster” at the Cat Connection

We here at the Cat Connection love cats and extend that love to each and ever kitty that comes into our store. If you have come into our store you have met our lovable, well fed and sometimes grumpy housecats. We have decided it is time for our beautiful kitties to be in the spotlight and wanted our customers to know each one more personally.

Shadow aka “The Store Regulator” Shadow - Our House Cat
Anyone who has stepped foot in our store has been greeted by our big black cat, Shadow. While he can be a bit of a grump sometimes, he is a treasured member of the Cat Connection family and we wouldn't change him for a thing.

When Shadow was about 9 ½ years old he came to the store to board for several months because his owner at the time was gutting her house and rebuilding it. 3 ½ months later, the owner had called and told us she would pay up her bill, but wanted us to drop him off at a shelter. Anne, the store owner...

Summer is Coming!
It's just around the corner so call now to make your kitty's reservations if you're planning on taking a break this coming summer season.

Why Should I Board My Cat? Abby - Our House Cat
It is important to remember that cats do not usually travel well. They usually do not enjoy it, nor do they adapt well to travel. Many people who try to take kitty along with them on their vacation end up spending most of their time searching for their escaped pet.

Leaving your cat with friends is just as unsatisfactory. Cats must go through an adjustment period in a new environment and this means they will not look upon your friend's house as "home" for quite awhile. Therefore, your cat may try to escape from the strange house at every opportunity or hide as a fear reaction. Most cat owners realize that it is not fair to impose this kind of responsibility on their friends, nor is it an ideal arrangement for their pets.
