Hi everyone. My name is Lindy and I am elegant beauty and am looking for my forever home. I am only a year and half and full of love to give. I am very loving and affectionate and would make a wonderful kitty to make your house a home.

I am very quiet and unobtrusive. I am also a little shy when it comes to meeting new people, but warm up quickly. I love to be pet and loved on but especially love a good butt scratch every once and a while. I am slow to accept changes and am submissive with other cats.

The Cat Connection Cats of the Month
May 2005 Cat Connection Winners

Voted "Cat of the Month" by the Cat Connection Store Cats

Oliver and Daphne - Cat of the Month Winner

Owner: Andrea Erickson
Cat's Name: Oliver and Daphne
Breed: (Oliver) and (Daphne)
Age: 9 months (Oliver) and 2 years (Daphne)

About the Winner:
These are two special kitties! Daphne is Oliver's mom and they are just so sweet together. They are always giving each other baths and snuggling up together. When Andrea's daughter leaves her dresser drawer open you can always find them together cuddled up in the clothes, which makes a lot more work for Andrea considering she has to re-wash all the clothes in the drawer because they become coated with hair! But how can you resist such an adorable sight!

Daphne and Oliver love to chase each other full speed around the house. They are quite the acrobatic pair, we are told. Andrea tells us that they appear to fly over everything! Oliver seems to be obsessed with the dishwasher because every time Andrea opens it and pull the drawer out he'll jump in the back and lays down the second she turns away.

Introducing the new Innova EVO:
The Evolutionary Diet for the Modern Feline

The nutritional requirements of the contemporary household pet represent the end-result of dietary interactions between their ancestral species and their environments dating back to their origins of life on earth. Cats of today are products of thousands of years of evolution and, as such, Natura Pet Products recognizes that the basic range of canine and feline nutritional patterns over this lengthy evolutionary period is critically important in formulating a true contemporary “evolutionary” diet.

In recent years many pet guardians have become attracted to feeding a homemade or “raw” diet which they believe closely approximates this evolutionary diet.

Natura has observed this phenomenon with great interest and our researchers have spent countless hours studying the facts and learning the benefits and risks of feeding such a diet*. As a result, Natura Pet Products is proud to present Innova EVO, The Evolutionary Diet for the Modern Feline.

Keep Your Family Flea-Free All Year Round!
Treatment and prevention for your four-legged friends.

With today's technology, there is no excuse for living with a flea infestation. You'll need to use a complete "shotgun" approach with flea control to break the cycle, followed by an ongoing flea prevention program. If you follow this cat flea control program scrupulously, fleas will soon be a distant memory in your household, and your kitties will be eternally grateful to you for freeing them from unwanted fleas and their hitch-hikers.

You've seen them - tiny, quick creatures that scurry through your cat's fur, feasting on her blood, and causing painful itching - so bad that kitty may scratch herself raw in seeking relief. If you have a bad flea infestation in a multiple-cat household, you've probably been bitten yourself by these voracious feeders, and you may even have seen them hopping through your carpeting. Did you know a flea can jump 33 cm. in one leap - over a foot? Well we're here to tell you - cat flea control is not only possible, it's relatively easy.

Why Should I Board My Cat? Abby - Our House Cat
It is important to remember that cats do not usually travel well. They usually do not enjoy it, nor do they adapt well to travel. Many people who try to take kitty along with them on their vacation end up spending most of their time searching for their escaped pet.

Leaving your cat with friends is just as
unsatisfactory. Cats must go through an adjustment period in a new environment and this means they will not look upon your friend's house as "home" for quite awhile. Therefore, your cat may try to escape from the strange house at every opportunity or hide as a fear reaction. Most cat owners realize that it is not fair to impose this kind of responsibility on their friends, nor is it an ideal arrangement for their pets.

When a Good Pet Has Bad Breath!
Written by: Elizabeth L. DeLomba, DVM

Do you cringe at the idea of getting a big, sloppy kiss from your pet? If so, chances are that the animal is suffering from halitosis, or bad breath, a very common problem in both dogs and cats. In any case of bad breath, a complete oral and physical examination of the pet is a good idea.

There are many reasons why an animal's breath may have an unpleasant odor. Sometimes, the cause can be serious; halitosis is a clinical sign of several severe illnesses, including "feline AIDS," or the feline immunodeficiency virus. More often, though, bad breath results from poor dental hygiene. Many owners do not realize that like humans, cats and dogs can get gingivitis. In fact, gingivitis, or periodontal disease, most commonly causes bad breath in our pet population.

Have you seen NoTail?

While searching the net recently I chanced upon a picture of a cute little black kitten. I'd seen a million such pictures on Google Images before but the URL attracted my attention: www.notail.com. Curious I checked it out and the story broke my heart so I thought I'd share it and see if anyone out there can help.

Azusa resident Gabriele Baader is casting a world wide web search in hopes of finding her missing cat, NoTail. She has sent mailers, consulted pet detectives, and set up a website, www.notail.com that painstakingly chronicles her extensive search. The site is dedicated to her tail-less cat (he was born that way) named 'NoTail' who disappeared one day last year. Lost cats are very common but it was the owner's tenacious determination and efforts to find her lost cat by using the resources available to her that attracted me to the site.
