The Cat Connection Cats of the Month
July 2005 Cat Connection Winners

Voted "Cat of the Month" by The Cat Connection Shop Cats
Pongo
Owner: Michael Rosner
Cat's Name:
Pongo
Breed:
Domestic Shorthair
Age:
1 Year

About the Winner:
Pongo has been selected as July's Cat of the Month by the Cat Connection Staff. Such a handsome kitty deserves to be seen. Pongo is a very unique kitty indeed. While you can not see it in his winking photo, he has one green eye and one blue. Pongo is quite playful and loves to bat around his fuzzy mice and a miniature tennis balls. He likes to hang out on the uppermost edge of the couch for a view of his expansive living room.

Pongo was rescued from the local pound – one day later and he would have likely been euthanized. When he first arrived in the Rosner home, he was so sick that they had to bring him to a private vet for treatment where he was kept for two days. It took another 2 weeks to nurse him back to health using 5 different medications and a large syringe that was used to feed him with special food. Now of Pongo has bounced back and is a happy little trouble maker often getting into tussles with his older brother Cosmo (a black cat that is twice his size- but that doesn't seem to matter to Pongo).

Voted "Cat of the Month" by Web Poll Participants
Tucker
Owner: Rachel Yates
Cat's Name:
Shiloh and Gypsy
Breed:
Himalayan
Age:
2 Years

About the Winner:

Tucker was voted to be the top cat this month by the web poll participants. Tucker shares his home with 4 Shetland Sheepdogs. She loves to tease them and chase them around the house. Tucker will sit atop Rachel's desk and look down at the dogs as if to say, “you can't get me!” Clever kitty. His favorite toy is a little fuzzy ball that he plays with most of the day. Tucker loves to sleep above Rachel's head at night. Rachel is very lucky to have such a wonderful kitty.
