The device:

Third, the Litter Welcome Mat™ allows for the complete removal of tracked out litter material, thus ending the track cycle.

The grid:
Its function is two fold; cats will naturally open their paws to walk across the grid surface. Litter will then fall from between their pads and digits and off their fur through the grid's openings and be conveniently collected in the bottom of the large capacity collection tray. Once in the collection tray, excess litter it is out of the track cycle forever!

The tray:
It functions as a receptacle for excess track, scatter, and any "misses" that may occur. Keeping the captured litter away from future foot traffic (both cat and owner) as well as any curious little people in the home, is central to the maintaining a hygienic litter box area. The built-in funnel allows for easy disposal or reuse of the captured litter track.
