Since they are made from recycled materials, each sculpture is slightly different and imperfect, but lovable all the same. All of the Junkyard Dogs & Cats are bare metal and naturally rust with age when exposed to the elements -- that is part of their beauty. "They rust, but they'll never run away."

When using the Yardbird Sculptures, and especially the Junkyard Dog and Cat feeders indoors, Bandana Yardbirds recommend treating them with a clear acrylic enamel spray such as Krylon® or Rustoleum®.

The creature, Richard Kolb, is a juried member of the Kentucky Arts & Crafts Program, American Craft Council and CRAFT. All Yardbirds and Junkyard Dogs and Cats are hand made in Louisville, Kentucky.
